The landscape of this house in Ulster County New York is dominated by a magnificent southern view of the Shawangunks. The most important aspect was siting the pool in relationship to the house which expanded the sweeping vistas. The planting was kept minimal and emphasizes the lines of the stone wall behind the patio. The client was a wonderful collaborator with a keen eye and a strong sense of style, always open to different ideas.
